8th Grade Players
Current Chamblee Middle School eighth graders are eligible to play for the Girls and Boys JV teams. Due to the middle school bell schedule, coaches understand that eighth grade players will walk over to the courts after school ends and will be late to practices. On JV match days, eighth grade players must follow protocol to check out of school early.
TIP: Teachers typically allow players to leave tennis bags in their classrooms in the morning so students don't have to haul the bag around all day. Players should coordinate this with 7th period teachers for practice days and 6th period teachers for match days.
Early Dismissal Protocol
All 8th grade players must complete an Early Dismissal Form to be excused from Chamblee Middle School on match days. Please print and complete the form before the first match. Submit the first portion to the Attendance Office and submit the second portion to the player's 6th and 7th period teachers. This form will cover the entire season.
