Practices
Team practices are 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM. Varsity practices Mondays (mandatory) and Wednesdays, while JV practices Tuesdays (mandatory) and Thursdays. These days are subject to change, depending on match schedules and weather. Check Remind on Sunday evenings for the upcoming week's practice schedule, and continue to check it daily, as schedules may change.
The Remind code for this year's team will be posted once all rosters are set.
Matches
Season Schedule: Regular season matches take place in February, March and early April. Varsity playoff matches begin in mid-April, culminating in the 2026 GHSA Tennis State Championships on Wednesday, May 13th. JV does not have a playoff tournament.
Match Timing: Matches begin at 4 PM and typically last a couple of hours, depending on the number of courts at the host facility. Students should leave their classes by 2:45 PM on match days to meet the team in the gym before departing to the match location. There is no early dismissal for matches played at CHS.
Transportation: For all away matches (both JV and Varsity), buses will be provided. Driving/carpooling is not authorized, so all players MUST ride the bus to every match. While the bus will return to CHS after each match, parents are strongly encouraged to transport their own players home from matches.
Snacks: The Booster Club will provide players with snacks and sports drinks at each match. Players should bring their own water bottles.
